Friez - en a - Frostie by Mickey Burmer

Mickey Burmer started his percussion studies at Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, TN under the tutelage of Allen Joanis. He placed second in the PASIC High School Individual Snare Drum competition in 1999 and placed first in 2000. He returned to PASIC as a college student placing third in the 2001 PASIC College Individual Snare Drum competition, and later placed first in 2003 and 2004. Mickey marched for several of the world's top drum and bugle corps during his performance career. He played snare drum with the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from Canton, OH in 1999, the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps from Fort Mill, SC in 2001, and the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps from Rockford-Loves Park, IL in 2003 and 2004. Mickey is an in demand clinician and performer across the country. Mickey is currently a percussion instructor at Dobyns-Bennett High School and is completing a degree in Music Education at East Tennessee State University.
